Roles and Responsibilities
You will play a critical role developing and performing measurements for next-generation data transceivers that boost AI infrastructure using Mojo’s unique technology.
- Collaborate with optical and optoelectronic device engineers to design and build measurement systems, including component fixtures, optical mounts, and motion control assemblies
- Source components, assemble hardware, and test newly developed measurement systems
- Operate both new and existing setups to perform measurements on optical components, including early-stage prototypes and parts transitioning to volume production
- Contribute to the automation of core measurement workflows through system design and programming
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
- Experience using mechanical CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or PTC Creo (formerly Pro/ENGINEER)
- Skill in mechanical design fundamentals, including tolerancing, materials selection, fabrication/procurement, and part verification
- Proficiency with scripting or programming for test automation (e.g., Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in optomechanical design, including materials selection and environmental testing
- Familiarity with optical alignment methods, thermal and vibration testing, and cleanroom procedures
- Exposure to optical metrology equipment and techniques
Level: Engineer Salary Range: $114,000 - $157,000
